Purpose

The purpose of the Bobath Interest Group (a practice based subgroup), is to:

• Develop a peer support system for physiotherapists and occupational therapists practicing the Bobath concept in Canada
• Foster communication among BIG members/clinicians using Proboard chat forum
• Contribute to meeting post graduate clinical education needs relevant to the Bobath Concept across Canada through the Canadian Bobath Instructors Association
• Contribute to research pertaining to the Bobath Concept
• Facilitate participation of Canadian physiotherapists and occupational therapists with an interest in the Bobath concept in both national and international meetings related to neurological rehabilitation
• Facilitate the ongoing development of the BIG website to the above purposes
