Sara earned a Bachelor of Kinesiology (Honours) from McMaster University in 2006 and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Queen’s University in 2008. She moved to Vancouver that same year to begin her physiotherapy career with Vancouver Coastal Health, where she discovered her passion for neurological rehabilitation.

Sara has over 18 years of experience treating individuals with neurological conditions across acute, rehabilitation, and private practice settings. She currently works on the inpatient Acquired Brain Injury program at GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre. She also served for two years on the Executive of the BC Neurosciences Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.

Throughout her career, Sara has completed extensive postgraduate training in the Bobath Concept and Vestibular Rehabilitation, earning her Vestibular Competency Certification through Duke University and the American Physical Therapy Association in 2015. In 2025, she qualified as a Basic Course Instructor with the International Bobath Instructor Training Association (IBITA), allowing her to teach both introductory and Basic Bobath courses. She is passionate about translating evidence-informed neurological rehabilitation into practical, clinically relevant education for physiotherapists.
