Course Description

This is a one-day course open to both Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. This course is designed both for therapists being exposed to the Bobath concept for the first time and for those who have taken an Introductory, Basic, or Advanced Course and wish to expand their knowledge further.

The Bobath model of clinical practice will be explored through a lecture, a patient demonstration, and practical sessions.

The patient demonstration will cover assessment, clinical reasoning, and hands-on treatment appropriate for the individual patient, followed by discussion. The practical sessions will then focus on treatment aspects utilized in the demonstration.

This course is offered on two occasions in the Winter-Spring of 2026. Each session will be unique, as the content will be based on the individual patient’s presentation and goals.

Course Objectives

On completion of this 1-day course, the course participant will:

  • Be introduced to the Model of Bobath Clinical Practice (MBCP) which illustrates the unique aspects of the clinical application of the Bobath concept.
